I only wish I could give Smart Shading Systems 100 stars!!! This is one of the best experiences I have had since moving to Franklin: meeting Mr. Ed and having his professional expertise and advice. I have two extremely high windows in my home that needed coverings for privacy and heat reduction/energy efficiency. I was planning to try to purchase and hang blinds myself, but considering my fear of heights, need for an extension ladder, and overall general cluelessness about accurate measurements and proper hanging techniques, I knew I needed help. I called Mr. Ed after I found him through Google, and all his stellar reviews are not wrong! He responded immediately and was at my home in no time with samples and suggestions. He helped me choose something both practical and aesthetic, and the ordering and installation time was much quicker than I expected. I am beyond thrilled with the results. Not only do I have privacy when I need it, but the blinds are still just transparent enough to keep my home from being too dark, which is exactly what I wanted! What a great company, great prices, fast installation and amazing customer service. I have worked night shift for over a decade and have spent lots of money on many ways to decrease the amount of sunlight that comes into my bedroom. Ed came out and sized out my window and personally installed my new blinds custom fitted for my window and they look great and are perfect for the decor style for my bedroom. I desperately needed to change out the old vertical blinds, that were in the salon when I bought it. I have a ton of windows in my business, so I knew it’d be a lot of money. But I got a bid from 3-day blinds & a bid from Smart Shading Systems. 3-day blinds was almost TWICE the price because they said they could do it so fast. But it only took a week & a half through Smart Shading Systems. They installed them in a matter of 3 hours too & the shades look amazing. I’ve loved working with Ed & started cutting his hair since I ordered from him, he is great. I was really happy to support his local business, instead of filling corporate pockets. If you look up the word PROFESSIONAL Ed's picture from Smart Shading Systems would come up. I am not that easily impressed but, this guy was phenomenal in every sense of the word. From the initial contact and interaction to the quality and price of each option. Ed bent over backwards to make sure he was satisfying my wants and needs. He was a great listener and asks a lot of questions, which I really appreciated.I do not people I do not know to come in my house. But, Ed was so personal and professional that I felt very relaxed and not anxious at all.Needless to say, the installation was a work of art and he left my house exactly the way he found it.I like things done right the first time and that was my experience with Ed and Smart Shading Systems. I had my shades install about 3 years ago from Smart Shading Systems, and saw Mr Ed down the street doing another installation. Of course, I couldn’t help myself and stop to say Hi and thank him for such a great job and how much we are enjoying the shades. Upon us chatting he told me, they are trying to build up their business and starting to take reviews, so finding them on Google Maps I figured to pay it forward! :)As I said, about 3 years ago we were in need of several very large motorized shades, after shopping around I was referred to Smart Shading by neighbors contractor. Ed showed up on time and made our heads spin with all the information he had, and came up with the perfect solution for our butt joint corner glass windows that no one else thought of, or didn’t know how to do. The other thing he informed us about is how the shades are put together and how important the things we don’t see in a shade. With this, we were totally sold on Smart Shading Systems, and the best part there pricing was better than the big box stores that he was warning us about!Upon installation, they were so careful of our house, clean and methodical. My husband said it was like looking at old-world craftsmen working, so attentive to detail, and he was blown away at the gadgets they had to make the installation perfectly straight and square.All said and done, both my husband and I are loyal customers to Smart Shading Systems, we can't help but refer them to anyone who comments on our beautiful shades. Our experience with this company was great. Ed was very friendly and professional. He gave us a quote and that is exactly what we paid, no surprises. He showed up on time to every appointment and even took his shoes off before he came into the house! Our blinds are beautiful (we covered 6 giant windows and 1 small window). We are so glad we went with the higher quality fabric and the motorized blinds; definitely worth the higher price. We also have an app to control the blinds from anywhere there's wifi if we don't have the remote. We highly recommend going with Ed if you are in the market for motorized blinds!
